Day-wise Itinerary
- Day 1: Jaipur/Delhi to Manali by Volvo
Your Spiti bike adventure begins from Jaipur, where travellers will board the designated bus from Sindhi Camp / Transport Nagar between approximately 8:00 PMβ10:00 PM. Travellers joining from Delhi will board from Kashmiri Gate between approximately 10:00 PMβ11:00 PM. The journey will continue overnight towards Manali, where you will meet your trip captain, fellow riders and the rest of the group. Get ready for an unforgettable motorcycle expedition through the Himalayas.
- Day 2: Manali to Jibhi
You will reach Manali early in the morning and proceed with the bike allocation and documentation process. After collecting your assigned bikes, the trip captain will conduct a short briefing covering the motorcycle, route and essential safety guidelines. You will then begin your trial ride from Manali towards the beautiful village of Jibhi. Enjoy the scenic ride through winding mountain roads, forests, rivers and valleys before reaching Jibhi by evening. After checking into your stay, you can relax and explore the peaceful surroundings of this beautiful Himalayan village.
- Day 3: Jibhi to Sangla / Chitkul via Kinnaur Gate
After breakfast, check out from your Jibhi accommodation and begin your ride towards Sangla and Chitkul through the scenic Kinnaur route. The journey takes you through beautiful mountain landscapes and the iconic Kinnaur Gate. You will make a stop at Sangla to explore the surrounding area before continuing towards Chitkul, known as the last inhabited village towards the China border. After exploring Chitkul and enjoying the breathtaking Himalayan views, you will return towards Sangla for your overnight stay.
- Day 4: Sangla to Nako via Suicide Point, Tabo and Gue Village
After breakfast, check out from Sangla and begin your ride towards Nako. En route, you will stop at Suicide Point for breathtaking views before continuing towards the Spiti region. You will visit Khab Bridge, located at the confluence of the Spiti and Sutlej Rivers, followed by a visit to Gue Village, famous for its approximately 500-year-old mummy. The journey continues towards Tabo, where you will explore the historic Tabo Monastery before proceeding towards Nako. After reaching Nako, check into your accommodation and relax for the night.
- Day 5: Nako to Kaza via Tabo, Dhankar and Pin Valley
Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before checking out from Nako. Begin your ride towards Kaza through the spectacular landscapes of Spiti Valley. You will visit Tabo Monastery, one of the oldest and most significant monasteries in the region, followed by Dhankar Monastery, dramatically located on a cliff. You will then continue towards Pin Valley National Park, known for its unique cold-desert landscape and green valley surroundings. After exploring the region, continue your ride towards Kaza and reach the town by evening. Check into your hotel and relax after an adventurous day on the road.
- Day 6: Kaza Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, get ready for a full day of riding and sightseeing around Kaza. You will visit Langza, famous for its seated Buddha statue and stunning mountain views, followed by Komic, one of the highest motorable villages in the world. The journey continues towards Hikkim, famous for having one of the world's highest post offices. Spend time exploring the unique high-altitude landscapes and villages before riding back towards Kaza by evening. After returning to Kaza, check into your accommodation and enjoy an overnight stay.
- Day 7: Kaza to Chandratal via Chicham Bridge & Key Monastery
After an early breakfast, check out from Kaza and begin your ride towards Chandratal. En route, you will visit Chicham Bridge, one of the highest suspension bridges in Asia, followed by Key Monastery, one of the most prominent monasteries of Spiti Valley. Continue your ride through the rugged and breathtaking landscapes towards Chandratal Lake. After reaching the Chandratal region, check into your campsite and spend the evening exploring the beautiful lake and its surroundings. Enjoy the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere before an overnight camping experience at Chandratal.
- Day 8: Chandratal to Manali via Atal Tunnel
After an early breakfast, check out from the Chandratal campsite and begin your ride back towards Manali via the scenic mountain route. Continue through the beautiful landscapes towards the Atal Tunnel, one of the major engineering landmarks of the region. After crossing the tunnel, continue towards Manali and enjoy some time exploring local cafΓ©s or relaxing after the long ride. Once you reach Manali, return your bikes as per the designated process and freshen up before boarding the overnight Volvo to Delhi/Jaipur.
- Day 9: Manali to Jaipur / Delhi
After completing your incredible Spiti motorcycle expedition, you will board the designated Volvo from Manali for your return journey. Delhi travellers will travel towards Delhi, while Jaipur travellers will continue towards Jaipur as per the respective return bus arrangement. Jaipur travellers will be dropped back in Jaipur and Delhi travellers will be dropped back in Delhi according to their respective bus schedules, marking the end of your Spiti Valley Bike Adventure.
